The State of Indiana requires that a notice be made in a
newspaper of general circulation at least ten (10) days prior to
hearings for requests pertaining to the Board of Zoning Appeals and Plan Commission,
as well as certain government meetings due to the specific nature of the gathering
or composition of its' participants. There also circumstances where public
notice is made to encourage citizen input and feedback regarding planning,
zoning, and development.
